MWL Welcomes Megan J. Hertzler
as its 2009-2010 President
With the beginning of a new fiscal year on July
1st, Minnesota Women Lawyers is pleased to welcome Megan J. Hertzler as its
2009-2010 President. Since joining MWL in 1984 as a law student,
Megan has served in a variety of leadership roles with the association, leading
up to her current position as President. Megan is
Assistant General Counsel
with Xcel Energy in downtown Minneapolis. Click

volunteers and legal employers who shared their time and talents during the past
year. It is through this strong support that MWL achieves its success.
MWL also extends a special thanks to outgoing
President Luz Maria Frias for her inspiring and dedicated leadership over the
past year. Just as Luz challenged MWL members to consider their personal
legacy, Luz has left her own legacy to MWL. Among her many accomplishments
during her term as President, Luz led MWL through a successful strategic
planning process. The resulting plan will serve as a foundation for years to come.

Celebrates its 37th Annual Meeting
Led by MWL
President Luz Maria Frias, MWL celebrated its 37th Annual Meeting on Wednesday,
May 13th, 2009. This luncheon event offered
an opportunity to take a look at the
past year and at the year ahead. The slate of candidates for the
2009-2010 Board of Directors was elected
by unanimous
consent.
The 2009 Annual Award recipients
were also honored for their leadership in the legal community.
