In 2008, Barna, Guzy & Steffen, Ltd., celebrates its 70^th Anniversary.  Over the past 70 years, the firm has expanded into numerous practice areas and increased in size to 35 attorneys.  This year, all 11 of the women attorneys at BGS are members of the MWL 100% Club. 

Combined, the women at BGS practice in the areas of Real Estate, Family Law, Commercial Litigation and Business Law.   Attorneys Joan Quade/Business Litigation and Employment Law, Beverly Dodge and Elizabeth Schading/Family Law, and Kristi Riley/Real Estate, are Shareholders with the firm.  Karen Kurth, Angela Samec, Susan Sheely, Tammy Schemmel, Kristin Stowell, Careen Martin and Susan Tegt are associates.  Karen, Susan Sheely, Tammy and Susan Tegt are in Commercial Litigation and Employment Law.  Angela and Kristen are in Real Estate, and Careen is in Family Law. 

In the past 5 years, the women of BGS have made a concerted marketing effort to increase awareness about their legal services.  Their motto, “Lawyers Who Listen,” was featured in several advertising pieces within the local media and their bi-annual wine tasting/networking socials have become a much anticipated function each spring and fall.
