MWL Community Action Committee’s
Professional Women’s Clothing Drive
March 24th - March 28th, 2008

Once again, MWL will host its annual clothing drive to collect professional women’s clothing that will be distributed to various organizations around the Twin Cities metro area.  Through this effort, MWL members are invited to assist women who wish to enter or re-enter the workplace by providing them with clothing that they may wear to interviews and/or their places of employment. 

The group who donates the largest amount of clothing will receive a free ¼ page black and white advertisement in MWL’s spring publication.

When to Go:

MWL is specifically collecting fall and winter business clothes, consisting of:  dry cleaned and size marked suits, blouses, skirts, dresses and shoes.  Please hang clothing on hangers if possible. Larger sizes, 16 and over, are of particular need.  Members are also encouraged to include hosiery and accessories, or gift certificates from Target or Kmart stores in $5 and $10 amounts.

Due to a lack of storage space, clothing will not be accepted for drop-off prior to or after the above dates.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  On Saturday, March 29th, MWL volunteers will sort and then deliver clothing to the beneficiary organizations.  MWL seeks volunteers to assist with sorting on March 29th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the MWL offices in Minneapolis.  This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for members and their families!  If you are able to volunteer, please contact the MWL office to confirm your participation (612/338-3205, or at mwl@mwlawyers.org).  As always, we look forward to a successful clothing drive!
