Announcement: In order to promote involvement in MWL and respond to member requests for more events that allow members to socialize and get to know one another better, the MWL Central Chapter has decided to meet for lunch once per month to do simply that. No speakers, no organized presentations, no RSVP's, no need to order lunches in advance. Simply show up, bring a friend, enjoy lunch and get to know one another. The MWL Central Chapter is also challenging attendees to reach out to other women lawyers in the community and invite them to come along to lunch. The goal is to get as many people connected through MWL as possible. Feedback has suggested that meeting on Tuesdays over the noon hour often conflicts with other obligations. In response to that concern, luncheons will be moved to the second Friday of every month. The following is a list of dates and meeting locations for the remainder of the year. Again, no need to RSVP, no need to order lunch in advance. Just show up at the dates and times below: Friday, March 12, 2010 at 12:00 pm @ Howies Please note that each member will be asked to cover the cost of their own meal. We hope you can join us at some or all of these events! The MWL Central Chapter is also looking for members interested in board/leadership positions. The MWL Central Chapter recently collected and donated household supplies such as towels, cleaning supplies, shampoo and conditioner and soap to create “Moving Out” baskets for the women of Anna Marie’s Alliance. Gently used women’s professional clothing (suits, slacks, blouses, etc.) were also collected to benefit Anna Marie’s Alliance Women’s Shelter.
