Go to: MWL Member Application/Renewal Form Over the course of the past fiscal year (July 1, 2008 to June 30th, 2009), MWL has changed it's membership renewal process. All membership renewals will shift to an annual renewal date of July 1st each year. The change to an annual renewal process is in direct response to member and legal employer requests. We anticipate that an annual process will be more streamlined and efficient for both members and MWL. New Members: Please refer to the table below for your dues amount. Select your membership level in the left column, and its corresponding dues amount in the current month. Please type this amount in the "Membership Dues Amount" box on your online membership application. (Note: your membership dues will only be pro-rated once. After this first year, your dues amount will reflect membership for an entire year, from July 1st to June 30th.) Renewing Members: A renewal letter has been sent to you in the month prior to your current membership renewal due date. Please refer to the table below to determine your pro-rated dues amount by finding your selected membership level in the left column, and its corresponding dues amount in the appropriate month column. Your renewal month can be found on the Membership Renewal Notice/Invoice that was sent to you, next to the line reading "Renewal Date" in the third line of your personal information. Please type your dues amount in the "My Membership Dues Amount" box on your online membership application. (Note: your membership dues will only be pro-rated once. After this first year, your dues amount will reflect membership for an entire year, from July 1st to June 30th.) NOTE: For those members whose renewal month is July 2008 or prior to July 2008, your membership dues amount is for the entire year, as listed in the table below in the "Annual Dues" column. MWL staff will work to make this change as seamless and error free as possible. Please feel free to contact Gina (gwinther@mwlawyers.org) or Debra (dpexa@mwlawyers.org) at the MWL office (612/338-3205) with any questions or concerns.
[1] Special Circumstance: A member who does not meet the “Under $55,00/year income” threshold, but cannot afford their regular dues category, may be eligible for a “special circumstance” membership. Members should submit a brief request to MWL, explaining their circumstance and suggesting an alternate dues amount. Requests should be sent to dpexa@mwlawyers.org. Do not send dues payment until the request has been considered by MWL. MWL will notify the member of the approved membership dues level. [2] Non-Attorney Associate members are legal employer staff and non-attorneys who support MWL’s mission. This is a non-voting membership. [3] Sustaining Members are recognized annually in MWL’s publication “With Equal Right” and in the MWL Membership Directory. [4] Premier “Gem” Levels: Benefits will be prorated for those signing on after July 2008. Quarterly or biannual payments may be submitted for Diamond and Sapphire levels. Please contact the MWL office for details.
