Join MWL Professional Parents For A Tropical, Holiday Get-Away!

Time: Lunch: 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.; Pampering Appointments: Begin at 12:30 p.m. (see below)

Have lunch with your fellow MWL moms and escape for a few minutes to enjoy a manicure or pedicure at a salon nearby - all over your lunch hour!  Bring hats and mittens to donate to a local non-profit*.

Details:

Lunching: We will have an MWL table reserved at Rosa Mexicana from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. on December 8th. Feel free to join us at any point during that timeframe. You MUST rsvp in order to make sure we have enough space reserved at the restaurant. Lunch is on your own.

Pampering: If you are interested in getting a manicure/pedicure before/during the lunch timeframe, please notify Alona Rindal (alona.rindal@usbank.com) by Monday, December 5th. The salon is ENails in City Center, just upstairs from Rosa Mexicana; a manicure is $13; a pedicure is $25; each takes about a half hour. Appointments will be scheduled at 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. (please indicate your 1st, & 2nd choice time preference, as well as the specific service you are requesting. Appointments are available on a first come basis; once appointments are confirmed, Alona will email you with your final time.

Giving: At lunch, we will also be collecting hats and mittens for “Hats & Mittens,” a local non-profit that raises money, collects thousands of hats and mittens for homeless children, and increases awareness of smaller and emerging non-profits serving children. They are in need this year of over 25,000 hats and mittens sets for all ages of children, from toddler to teen. www.hatsandmittens.org. Thanks to Sarah Rohne for the great idea!

*Hats & Mittens is a local non-profit that raises money, collects thousands of hats and mittens for homeless children, and increases awareness of smaller and emerging non-profits serving children. Hats & Mittens is a team of local professionals - all volunteers - who work together for the purpose of celebrating the season and helping children in need. The MWL Professional Parents Affinity Group hosts monthly luncheons or events, which provide a relaxed environment for MWL's working parents to meet with one another and share their experiences, challenges and successes. Based on member input, upcoming gatherings will feature both focused discussions led by a speaker, as well as more casual opportunities to meet and network with one another. All gatherings (unless otherwise noted) are FREE brown bag luncheons (bring your own).
