“You can choose courage or you can choose comfort, but you cannot have both.”

    - Brené Brown

This experiential workshop will address truths about leading a courageous life, including the reality that we WILL fall and make mistakes. Being a daring woman in today’s world – and engaging as legal professionals in often gender-biased and inequitable work environments - includes getting knocked-down. Our tasks are to understand what it means to be our bravest selves and to develop skills to keep Rising Strong™ after we fall.  In this workshop, Dr. Carli Kody will facilitate exploration of topics such as courage, vulnerability, shame, and worthiness, based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. Participants will develop a greater personal understanding of courage and authenticity and examine thoughts, emotions and behaviors that may be holding us back. Participants will also learn the tools that enable us to show up bravely as well as daily resilience practices to leverage in our personal and professional lives. Workshop activities will include individual and group exercises, discussion, and videos. Join us for an afternoon of learning, laughter, fierceness, and connection.
